RRS® HA Cellutrix pack, an injectable mesotherapy product for cellulite

RRS® HA Cellutrix: Cellulite mesotherapy

RRS® HA Cellutrix is an injectable mesotherapy for cellulite that combines hyaluronic acid with a cocktail of active ingredients — caffeine, L-carnitine, fucoxanthin, flavonoids, vitamins and antioxidants. It targets the “orange peel” look, microcirculation and skin quality at the same time, for smoother, firmer, more hydrated skin, with no downtime.

Cellulite has many “sides”: fat bulging through the connective tissue, poor microcirculation and fluid retention, and skin that thins and loosens over time, making the irregularities more visible. RRS® HA Cellutrix was designed to act on all of these sides together. At UniqSkin we include it in a personalised body mesotherapy programme.

What is RRS® HA Cellutrix?

RRS® HA Cellutrix is a class III injectable medical device made by the Spanish company Skin Tech Pharma Group, which produces the RRS® mesotherapy range. It is designed specifically for oedematous fibrosclerotic panniculopathy — the medical term for cellulite.

It comes in ready-to-use 10 ml vials and is injected using the mesotherapy technique into areas with cellulite.

The ingredients

The Cellutrix formula combines:

  • Hyaluronic acid (non-cross-linked): deeply hydrates and improves skin elasticity and texture.
  • Caffeine: stimulates lipolysis — the breakdown of stored fat in fat cells — and supports microcirculation.
  • L-carnitine: carries fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they are “burned” for energy.
  • Fucoxanthin: an antioxidant pigment from seaweed that has been studied for its role in fat metabolism.
  • Flavonoids and saponins: support small blood vessels and help reduce fluid retention.
  • Vitamins and antioxidants: protect the tissues from oxidative stress and support skin regeneration.

How it works

Cellutrix works on three levels:

  • Fat: caffeine and L-carnitine support fat metabolism in areas with cellulite.
  • Circulation: flavonoids, saponins and caffeine improve microcirculation and lymphatic drainage, reducing the swelling that worsens the look of cellulite.
  • Skin: hyaluronic acid and antioxidants hydrate and strengthen the skin, so it becomes firmer and “hides” irregularities better.

The result is smoother, firmer, more even skin.

Treatment areas

  • Thighs (front, back and inner)
  • Buttocks
  • Abdomen
  • Arms
  • Legs in general

Who it is for

Cellutrix is for healthy women and men with:

  • cellulite with an “orange peel” look or dimpling;
  • cellulite accompanied by fluid retention;
  • laxity and loss of firmness in the same areas.

Like every cellulite treatment, it is not a weight-loss treatment. It gives the best results combined with a balanced diet, good hydration and regular exercise.

Cellutrix or Alidya?

Both are injectable treatments for cellulite, but with a different approach:

  • Alidya is based on the theory of iron build-up in the subcutaneous tissue and mainly targets the fat cells’ “environment” and microcirculation.
  • Cellutrix is a cocktail of lipo-active ingredients (caffeine, L-carnitine, fucoxanthin) and hyaluronic acid that acts on fat, circulation and skin quality at the same time.

The choice depends on the type of cellulite, the area and the quality of your skin, and is made at your medical assessment.

The procedure

  • Assessment: We examine the area, the degree of cellulite and your medical history.
  • Preparation: The area is cleansed, disinfected and marked. An anaesthetic cream can be applied if you wish.
  • Injection: The solution is injected with a very fine needle, as many small injections into the skin of the area with cellulite.
  • Duration: About 30–45 minutes, depending on the size of the area.
  • Protocol: Usually 4–6 sessions, once a week. After the course, maintenance sessions are suggested according to your needs.
  • Results: Many patients notice an improvement after the first 2–3 sessions, while the fullest result shows at the end of the course.

After the treatment

  • Don’t apply creams or cosmetics to the area for 12 hours.
  • Avoid heat (saunas, sunbathing, solariums) and intense exercise for 24 hours.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • You can return to your daily activities straight away.

Safety

Cellutrix is generally well tolerated. Small wheals, mild redness, tenderness or small bruises may appear at the injection points, usually resolving within a few hours to a few days.

The treatment is not recommended in:

  • pregnancy or breastfeeding;
  • autoimmune diseases;
  • anticoagulant therapy or bleeding disorders;
  • infection, inflammation or a skin condition in the treatment area;
  • a known allergy to any of the ingredients.

That is why a thorough medical assessment always comes first.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Does it hurt?

    The treatment is well tolerated, as a very fine needle is used. An anaesthetic cream can be applied if you wish.

  2. How many sessions do I need?

    Usually 4–6 sessions, once a week. The exact number depends on the area and the severity of the cellulite.

  3. When will I see results?

    Often after the first 2–3 sessions, with the fullest result at the end of the course.

  4. Will I lose weight?

    No. Cellutrix is not a weight-loss treatment. It improves the appearance of cellulite and skin quality.

  5. Does the caffeine in it affect the body like coffee?

    Not in the same way. The amount injected is small and acts locally, in the treatment area. Do let us know about any sensitivity or allergy, though.

  6. Cellutrix or Alidya?

    Both treat cellulite, with a different mechanism. A medical assessment will show which suits your case. See also Alidya.
